When selecting main fabric, keep in mind that you don't necessarily have to choose stretchy outer fabric for your Magnolia. However it can significantly enhance comfort and fit, especially for those who prioritize ease of movement. Stretchy materials, such as stretch lace and mesh, allow for greater flexibility and adaptability to the body’s contours.

When selecting lining fabric, stability is a critical factor that should not be overlooked. Stable lining fabric provides the necessary support and structure to the outer fabric, ensuring that the finished bralette maintains its shape over time.

We use simple calculations to indicate how much fabric required:
required amount = length by width*

*With a mirrored print / pattern on scalloped stretch lace, mono-color (or non-directional print) marquisette.

*Fabrics stretch more across the width than along the length, but stretch lace stretch more lenghtwise. Read more about fabric grains, stretch direction, percentage, cuts and direction of the print here.

In addition to mandatory decatizing before cutting and sewing, it is important to account for a potential shrinkage rate of approximately 5%.
